Dive Resort

Established in 1994, Quo Vadis is a 3-star hotel, highly renowned diving resort in Moalboal. Providing top level diving education and commitment to PADI standards, Quo Vadis has achieved 5 star PADI Resort status. Located conveniently by the shore with an extremely beautiful house reef, the resort is a go to destination for both experienced divers and people who want to start their scuba diving adventure.

Location of Quo Vadis Dive Resort

Quo Vadis Dive Resort is located in the beautiful town of Moalboal, situated on the west coast of Cebu island and around 100km from Mactan-Cebu International Airport (Cebu City).

Our recommended route to Quo Vadis Dive Resort is: fly to Cebu City, then travel on road either directly to us by private car (costing around 2 500 PHP for a one way trip) or first to Moalboal town using the public bus (costing around 300 PHP for a one way trip) and then by tricycle to our dive resort (costing around 250 PHP) .

Our dive resort is located in a quiet area next to the shore and is easily accessible by bike, car or on foot. Moalboal town centre is also just a few minutes walk away, providing access to additional amenities, including local health centres, pharmacies, supermarkets, shopping malls and a bustling and vibrant food scene.

Dive Center

Quo Vadis Dive Center was designed with one fundamental purpose – to provide the best learning environment for both beginner and professional divers. At our disposal we have:

  • Large equipment assembly area – Where you can manage your dive equipment comfortably without feeling crowded.

  • Outdoor ocean view seating space – Whether you are studying dive theory or just enjoying a cup of coffee or cold drink, you will find plenty of space in our cozy outdoor seating with ocean view.

  • Air-conditioned classroom – For those participating in “dry” workshops or prefer a cooler setting to study in, our on site, air conditioned classroom provides a great escape from the tropical heat of Philippines.

  • Friendly reception desk – Who are always here to help and support all our divers in daily admin and dive logistics.

Pool

Our onsite pool is the main site where dive skills training takes place. It is situated right next to the equipment assembly area. The pool was designed specifically in mind to accommodate for PADI Divemaster training. With lovely features including: easy stair access, a depth range of 1.2 meters (4 feet) to 2.2 meters (7 feet) and a total pool area of 80 square meters.

Boat

Our boat the “Smiling Star” is the big bangka boat (traditional Filipino design), which can take aboard up to 24 divers. It was designed to provide great comfort for divers whilst on board. Always well equipped with all necessary and emergency equipment, it serves us everyday and helps us to reach nearby dive sites.

We are proud to provide you with the best learning environment both in and out of the water. All our resort’s diving facilities are available to you during your PADI Divemaster course:

  • Private pool. Our large swimming pool has crystal clear water with a depth ranging from 1.2m to 2.2m, enabling you to practice your diving skills in an easy, confined environment.

  • Easy shore and boat diving. Our dive resort is located on the beach giving direct entry to shore dives and near and easy access to and from our dive boat.

  • Beautiful dive sites. There are more than 20 different dive sites around Moalboal, all accessible within a 15 minute boat ride, including the famous Sardine Run and Pescador Island.

  • Learning facilities. You’ll have free access to our fully air conditioned classroom, hammocks or desks with a sea view to accommodate your learning and dive theory studies.

  • Diving equipment. Haven’t got your own equipment yet? No problem, we have you covered. All of our diving equipment is well maintained and ready to use for your training.

Accommodation

During the PADI Divemaster course, we offer affordable accommodation to cater both for individuals seeking a cheaper option with more social environment, and also for individuals who prefer more privacy and comfort.

Shared Divemaster Candidate House

Fully furnished house, 5 minutes walk from the Quo Vadis dive resort. Accommodates up to 4 people in three rooms (two single rooms, one double). The house is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, flat TV, shared toilet with hot shower and individual air conditioning units in each bedroom. Located on a huge land lot (around 1 500 square meters), with a lovely variety of tropical trees and flowers. The house has a large outdoor seating area, perfect for relaxation after a full day’s work in the water.

Location: 5 minute walk from the dive center, 7 min walk from the town main area

Monthly rent: 16 000PHP per candidate

Divers Lodge

Private room with air conditioning, double bed, fridge, coffee/tea maker, en-suite bathroom with hot shower. Each room has a private terrace with a garden view.

Location: 2 min walk from dive center, 10 min walk from the town main area

Monthly Rent: 25 000PHP to 35 000PHP (subject to season and availability)

Living in Paradise

Moalboal is a coastal town located on the west side of Cebu island. It is surrounded by lush tropical scenery and beautiful mountains (highest peak being 1 013 meters). With convenient road access to and from the city of Cebu (5th biggest city in Philippines), it’s has increasingly become a great attraction to tourists around the world, enabling the town to expand in recent years.
